Ghebreyesus WHO 150000 new covid19 cases in one day

THE World Health Organization has warned that the global Coronavirus pandemic has moved into a “new and dangerous phase“, with the new and worrying record of 150,000 cases reported globally on 19th June.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned “the pandemic is accelerating” announcing that all countries combined reported more than 150,000 virus cases last Friday. This explosion in COVID-19 cases is the largest daily increase in cases seen yet.

Ghebreyesus told the media that while he understands that “many people are fed up being at home” and “countries are eager to open up their economies” but warned those watching that the “virus is still spreading fast! It is still deadly”.
