Wilful misunderstanding of free speech

The right to free speech does not include the obligation that anyone listens. Anyone can decline to listen if they choose.

The right to free speech does not mean that there cannot be a response.

The loudest claimants to the right to free speech are often wilfully ignorant of what it means to be able to speak freely. They include a demand that everyone should be forced to listen to their free speech and they object to any response.

This is so true. This same people also feel the are entitled to this bizarre right to offend people as well.

Both views are utterly bizarre. What we are entitled to do is not listen!
