scotland relaxes lockdown from 6th july

Nicola Sturgeon addressed MSP’s at Holyrood today to announce the next steps in Scotland’s route out lockdown following nearly 3 months of COVID19 lockdown.

Amongst changes, Sturgeon announced that Scotland outdoor hospitality venues like Beer Gardens will be able to open from the 6th July; Bringing some much-needed cheer to Scotland summer.

People will finally be allowed to travel more than 5-miles from their home location from the 3rd July.

Sturgeon – Chuffed.

Sturgeon also confirmed that barbers and hairdressers will open from 15th July and that Shopping centres will also reopen on 15th July. Holiday accommodation (Self-contained / Campsites) will be able to open as long as Coronavirus can continue to be suppressed in Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon stated that she will make an announcement on the ‘2-meter rule’ and any changes to Scotland social-distancing rules on the 2nd July.
