Nicola Sturgeon has told Scotland to expect further restrictions to be put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. “We must not and will not wait.”

At todays Scots government Coronavirus briefing, the Scottish First Minister told the public that her cabinet is to meet tommorow, and they have been told to be ready to impose restrictions.

The first minister is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Boris Johnson this afternoon. Sturgeon said she will impress on the PM that the four nations need to take decisive and urgent and coordinated action across the UK

Sturgeon said she hoped that any new COVID-19 restrictions would be rolled out in conjunction with the other UK nations; However, the first minister made it clear that she will not wait for Westminster to drag their heels on further restrictions.

Scotland has been told to expect further COVID-19 restrictions to be put in place this week.
